Leonids Meteor Shower

A couple of months ago, a meteor shower happened.
Hundreds of stars shot across the sky as my friends and I watched from the water.
I made about a dozen wishes that night, and we were all excited.
Still, no amount of shooting stars will give people the hope
that comes with every new year.
